Dear esteemed members of the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Korean Society of Microsurgery, and the Korean Society of Surgery of the Peripheral Nerve, respected colleagues, and valued readers of Archives of Hand and Microsurgery (AHM),
It is a great honor and privilege to assume the role of Editor-in-Chief of AHM. I extend my deepest gratitude to my predecessor, Professor Joo-Yup Lee, whose dedication and leadership have elevated the journal to its current stature as a trusted resource for clinicians and researchers alike.
As medical science continues to evolve rapidly, we face both challenges and opportunities in academic publishing. To ensure that AHM continues to grow as a leading journal in our field, I am committed to pursuing the following key objectives:
First, enhancing the quality of publications. We will uphold a rigorous peer-review process and strive to publish innovative, high-impact research that contributes to scientific progress and clinical excellence.
Second, expanding global reach and visibility. By encouraging submissions from international researchers and strengthening our presence in global indexing databases, we aim to establish AHM as a globally recognized academic journal.
Third, embracing digital transformation. We will enhance our online platform, making it easier for researchers worldwide to access, cite, and disseminate the valuable knowledge published in our journal.
These goals can only be achieved through the active participation of our esteemed colleagues and contributors. I encourage all of you to submit your best research, engage in the peer-review process, and share your insights to help us grow. Your continued support and collaboration will be the driving force behind the success of AHM.
As Editor-in-Chief, I am committed to leading the AHM with integrity, innovation, and excellence. Together, let us advance the field of hand surgery, microsurgery, and peripheral nerve surgery, ensuring that our journal remains a cornerstone of academic and clinical progress.
Thank you for your trust and support.
    Yun-Rak Choi, MD, PhD
Editor-in-Chief of Archives of Hand and Microsurgery
