Abstract
The volar dislocation of the distal radioulnar joint is a very rare but a commonly missed injury at the initial presentation. We report a case of a forty year old man who sustained an irreducible chronic volar dislocation of the distal radioulnar joint. The dislocation was diagnosed 3 month later after injury, the synostosis of the radius and ulna developed. Sauve-Kapandji procedure and a tenodesis for stabilizing the ulna stump using extensor carpi ulnaris and flexor carpi ulnaris gave a satisfactory result.
