Abstract
Periosteal chondroma is a rare, benign bone tumor. A 38-year-old man noticed a painful mass on left thumb. Radiologic examination revealed exostosis with calcification and mild cortical irregularity. MR revealed a well defined mass with hypointense on T1-weighted images and hyperintense on T2- weighted images. The patient underwent an marginal excision. Histologically, the lesion consisted of cartilegenous lobule with mildly increased cellularity. We report upon this case with a brief review of the literature.
