Abstract
According to a review of the literature, there have been tumors which affected the hamate. But, there is no previous description of a simple bone cyst of the hamate bone. We have experienced a sixteen years old male patient with wrist pain, and he showed a cystic lesion within hamate in plain radiograph. The curettage and heterograft insertion were performed, and the pathology revealed an “simple bone cyst”. So we report a case of simple bone cyst in the hamate bone and review the literature.
