Abstract
The posterolateral rotatory instability (PLRI) of the elbow is most common pattern of elbow instability. Reconstruction of the lateral ulnar collateral ligament in recurrent elbow instability has been well discussed. However, there are few reports of the clinical result of ligament repair in acute injury because of its rarity. A patient with acute elbow dislocation presented a sense of varus instability. A clinical elbow pivot shift test to confirm the PLRI was positive. Primary repair of the lateral ulnar collateral ligament with suture anchor screw was performed to stabilize the elbow. The authors report a case of primary repair of lateral ulnar collateral ligament in acute PLRI of the elbow due to dislocation.
