Abstract
Hemangiomas are the fourth most common tumor of the hand, representing less than 10% of tumors that are localized to the hand. Hemangiomas can be present in any tissue and in any location in the hand. Commonly the tumor originate in the subcutaneous tissue of the palm, and sometimes arose within the lumbrical, thenar, and hypothenar muscles. But authors didn’t find out the reports for the intramuscular hemangioma occurred in the lumbrical muscles. Palmieri et al reported that the intramuscular hemangioma arose in 6% of the hemangiomas in the hand. But they didn’t describe the muscle’s name. We report unusual case of a intramuscular hemangioma of the lumbrical muscle, needing differential diagnosis with tuberculous tenosynovitis and rheumatoid tenosynovitis.
