Intraosseous Epidermoid Cyst in the Distal Phalanx – Case Report –

Abstract
In contrast to epidermoid cyst under skin, intraosseoous epidermoid cyst is vary rare. It arises in the distal phalanx of the hand and foot. It is commonly posttraumatic in nature. Differential diagnosis includes enchondroma, glomus tumor with bone erosion, osteoid osteoma, giant cell reparative granuloma, osteomyelitis and metastatic tumors. Treatment is the curettage and the removal of the capsule. Herein, we present a case of intraosseous epidermoid cyst in the distal phalanx of a 32-year-old man.
