Abstract
Compression neuropathy of the ulnar nerve in Guyon’s canal can cause isolated motor loss, sensory loss or combined motor and sensory loss which would be correctly related to the site of the entrapment. A case is presented of ulnar nerve compression by a spanning ganglion in Zone I and II of Guyon’s canal, which invloves the motor branch causing motor dysfunction alone, sparing sensitivity. Certain features of this case which is not reported to our knowledge are discussed.
