Abstract
Locked trigger digit is a severe form of trigger digit and percutaneous release for the locked digit is considered to be technically difficult. We performed 64 percutaneous release for the locked trigger digits in the outpatient clinic. Satisfactory results were achieved in 54 digits(84.4 %). 9 digits failed to relieve the triggering by our percutaneous technique and one trigger thumb had persistent pain on the release site. There were no significant complications. Some technical points which should be considered in performing percutaneous release for the locked digit are presented. We suggest that locked trigger digits can be released successfully by our percutaneous technique.
