Abstract
Gout is a hereditary condition of disturbed uric acid metabolism in which urate salts are deposited in articular, periarticular and subcutaneous tissues. Clinically, it is characterized by recurrent attacks of acute arthritis with painless intervals and in late stages by crippling deforming arthritis, nephritis, urinary calculi and cardiovascular lesions. We report a case of scaphoid nonunion in gout, with review of literatures because it has not previously been reported.
