Outcome Study of Tardy Ulnar Nerve Palsy treated with Anterior Subcutaneous Nerve Transposition

Abstract
Tardy ulnar nerve palsy is the most common entrapment of the ulnar nerve and the second most common compressive neuropathy of the upper limb after carpal tunnel syndrome. 15 patients were retrospectively analyzed pre-operative symptoms and signs of tardy ulnar nerve palsy and post-operative outcome with anterior subcutaneous nerve transposition. There were 12 men and 3 women with an average age of 43.5(range, 28-69 years) The average follow-up time was 26 month (range, 6-96 months), pre-operative grading system was based on McGowan's classification, (grade 1; 0 person, grade 2; 5 person,grade 3; 10 person) Post-operative grading system was based on Messinas classification (Poor; 3 person, Fair; 0 person, Good; 3 person, Excellent 9 person) The outcome of anterior subcutaneous nerve transposition was satisfactory, symptoms and signs,were relieved.
